The field investigation of 614 tribes in Taiwan was based on four items that include as tribe magnitude(Tm),Tribe potential (Tp), tribe symptom (Ts) and tribe traffic (Tr). According to the assessment results, 50 tribes were
presented as top priority in disaster prevention management. Furthermore, Kaohsiung city and Miaoli county were illustrated to build risk classification map and the application of its. In the future, the disaster environmental assessment method of hill tribes that could build the systematic method for mitigation and prevention management step.
